100 Nabaztag smart rabbits play together an opera specially composed by Antoine Schmitt et Jean-Jacques Birgé.

Inviting John Cage, Steve Reich, Conlon Nancarrow and György Ligeti, this musical and choreographic scorein three movements, transmitted via wi-fi, plays on the tension between the orchestral ensemble and the individual voices to create a strong and involved showpiece.
Schmitt and Birgé have chosen to twist the industrial object into an artwork in which the choreography of the ears, the play of light and the hundred small loudspeakers hidden in the stomachs of each rabbit create a composition with three voices built on time delay and repetition, programming and disrespect for rules.

Until the 9th of November at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, 107 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris

When the kids are bored of the musea or the French monuments, take them for a stroll along de quai de Megisserie. There you can find cats and dogs, but also squirrels and toucans next to goats and ferrels.

It’s great browsing them, a truly unique experience

Picnic à la francaise

On Paris Trip Tips I read enjoyable idea. Pick up a picnic at a good restautant nearby and enjoy the real Paris. Look what they wrote :

There’s nothing quite like a picnic in Paris. On the banks of the Seine, on the Pont des Arts (which I don’t really recommend because everyone else in the free world is there too), in the Luxembourg Garden, there are so many places to enjoy a picnic. Top top it off, there’s something so very sophisticated about French picnic food: crudités, paté, baguette, wine…this is no “tuna sandwich with a bag of chips” picnic.
A few restaurants in Paris have gotten in on the picnic act, preparing rather elaborate picnics for guests to order in advance, pick up, and enjoy in their Parisian park of choice.

One of the recommended restaurant is on walking distance of the Montmartre Studio Loft and has a very good cook.

Chez Michel

Their “panier piquenique” includes two entrees, two main courses, fruit, cheese, dessert and a bottle of wine or cider. You have to bring your own forks, knives, plates, napkins, etc.

Chez Michel, 10, rue de Belzunce, 75010 Paris, tel 01 44 53 06 20
Closed Saturday, Sunday and Monday lunch

(July 20-August 20) by Klein, Fodor’s Editor

For an entire month, the right bank of the Seine is transformed into a long, sandy beach, with lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas, activities (especially for kids), and even public art and fountains. It’s an extremely popular place to be—and not just on sweltering weekends. This year, there’s a “green” spin on the plage, with recyclable materials used to build wooden decks and cabins along the river’s banks.

It’s the most emblematic event of the Parisian summer: the expressways along the side of the Seine between the Tuileries gardens and the Pont de Sully are shut off to traffic for a whole month and 1,800 tons of sand are added! And 50-odd palm tress! And a lot more (deckchairs, water fountains, cafés…)! And there’s the same thing on the Bassin de la Villette too!
